WA Shotfiring Training- Underground and Surface
Modular Training offers Shotfiring Courses aligned with Nationally Recognised RII09 training to allow participants to apply for their WA Shotfiring Licence - Underground and Surface.
Prerequisites For Shotfiring Course
DGSC - All participants must bring their Dangerous Goods Security Card to the course.
DGSC application forms can be found at any major Australian Post Office.
Course Aim
This course has been designed to prepare condidates to meet the requirements of the national training package and the Department of Mines And Petroleum (Resources Safety Division). For participants to obtain a WA Shotfirers Licence. The course involves both theory and practical training and assessments.

RIIBLA305A - Conduct secondary blasting

Structure Of Course
Theory
Duration: 3 days theory (incl. assessment workbook and exam)
Days: Tuesday to Thursday
Times: 8:00am to 5:00pm

Tea and Coffee is supplied on all courses, however Morning Tea and Lunch is not supplied, so please make own arrangements.
Practical
Practical assessments are to be discussed when booking in for the theory.
Venues:
Courses currently being held in W.A. Kalgoorlie, Perth and Onsite as required.
Kalgoorlie venue - Kalgoorlie Lotteries House, corner of Wilson St and MacDonald St Kalgoorlie
Perth venue- Unit 1, 16 Harlond Avenue, Malaga
Licence:
Participants who successfully complete both theory and practical examinations and meet the requirements of the Department of Mines And Petroleum will be issued with a statement of attainment and the application form to apply for a West Australian Shotfirers Licence.
General Notes:
As places on all Shotfirers courses are restricted to a maximum of 15 participants, prompt registration is encouraged. In the event that you register and then, for any reason, are unable to attend, we require a minimum of seven (7) working days' notice for a refund to be given less an administration fee of $50.00.
No refund can be given once course commences!
Company bookings must be accompanied by a purchase order number before training commences.
Modular Training reserves the right to cancel this course should insufficient numbers register. Should this occur, those who have registered would be notified and registration fees will be refunded or, if requested, transferred to a future course.
ALL CARE WILL BE GIVEN, BUT NO RESPONSIBILITY TAKEN. Participants and or their employers are responsible for their own property / personal insurance.
